The Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for defining and translating functional specifications into detailed business requirements, ensuring they are accurately conveyed to a vendor development team. This individual will hold accountability for both functional and technical requirements, ensuring the successful delivery of project deliverables. The ideal candidate will be assertive, detail-oriented, and experienced in using the Microsoft suite of tools to support documentation, communication, and project management.

The Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for defining and translating functional specifications into detailed business requirements, ensuring they are accurately conveyed to a vendor development team. This individual will hold accountability for both functional and technical requirements, ensuring the successful delivery of project deliverables. The ideal candidate will be assertive, detail-oriented, and experienced in using the Microsoft suite of tools to support documentation, communication, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define functional specifications, ensuring that all business and technical requirements are clear and comprehensive.
- Business Requirements Documentation (BRD): Develop detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRD) from the gathered functional specifications to be passed to the vendor development team.
- Accountability: Maintain responsibility for the accuracy, clarity, and completeness of both functional and technical requirements, ensuring seamless handoffs to development teams.
- Collaboration with Vendor Teams: Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and vendor development teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented as specified.
- Assertive Stakeholder Management: Engage assertively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timelines, quality, and scope are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Documentation & Reporting: Utilize tools within the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams) for efficient documentation, reporting, and collaboration.
- Change Management: Monitor and manage requirement changes, ensuring stakeholders are updated and impacts are evaluated.
- Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and address gaps, issues, or risks related to functional or technical requirements.
- Testing & Validation: Work closely with the QA team to ensure all developed solutions meet the initial business and technical requirements through testing and validation processes.
- Strong experience with Business Requirements Documentation (BRD) and functional specification writing.
- Ability to take ownership of both functional and technical requirements, ensuring they are correctly defined, documented, and implemented.
- Proven ability to communicate assertively with stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure accountability.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Teams for documentation and collaboration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into clear technical solutions.
- Experience working with vendor development teams.
- Prior experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of producing high-quality technical documentation.
