Our Cash Services department is seeking a Business Analyst to perform the daily verification and balancing of the Cash operation transactions.
Responsibilities
- Perform independent verification of daily transactions utilizing source documents to ensure transactions involving valuables have been accurately recorded.
- Provide internal and external customer support, including responding to and resolving general and specific inquiries. Communicate by telephone or in writing in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ability to perform specialized or confidential administrative duties, including research, computation, and review of intermediately complex data for use in preparing reports and completing projects.
- Create manifests for next day processing of currency/coin orders.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of department procedures and controls. Perform verification of compliance with department procedures and controls through daily, independent reviews of department documentation. Assists in the departments self audit reviews.
- Monitor coin inventories and coordinate transfers to ensure that coin is optimally distributed between coin depot facilities throughout the region.
- Assists in the analysis and review of business functions and operational process improvements and/or enhancements. Assists with testing, training, and implementation and may support the coordination of activities, as assigned.
- Assists in preparing and/or revising communications, including proposals, reports, and presentations. Assists with developing and revising procedures, defining processes, and delivering training to users.
- Assists in coin terminal audits.
- Performs other duties or responsibilities as needed or assigned, such as but not limited to:
- Providing back-up general administrative support, to include, scheduling, meeting planning, travel arrangements, data entry etc.
- Participates in Department, Bank or FRS project teams & work groups; complete special assignments as needed.
Qualifications
- For Level I: High School diploma or equivalent. (For Level II: Bachelor's degree with coursework in business or a related field preferred.)
- 1 year experience or equivalent combination of higher education and experience. (For Level II: 3 years of direct work-related experience or equivalent combination of related higher education and experience)
- Experience in a business operations or financial environment preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member with minimal supervision, as well as working effectively as a part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with highly developed problem-solving skills related to solving out of balance/reconciliation issues.
- Good interpersonal skills with strong collaboration and team building skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
Physical Capabilities Required:
Ability to carry/lift a weight of 10lbs
*A requirement of this position is that you must be on site 5 days a week.
