Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: 100% Remote
Purpose: The Business Analyst is responsible for identifying, documenting, and acting upon business needs related to processes, policies, and information systems. This role involves gathering and synthesizing business requirements for low complexity software, systems, processes, and services, ensuring alignment with business objectives. The Business Analyst serves as the liaison between business areas and technical or software development teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering (25%): Interpret business needs by eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating user and technical requirements. Collaborate in the creation of requirements documentation and project plans while participating in requirements analysis and verification sessions.

User Acceptance Testing (25%): Oversee user acceptance testing, ensuring thorough documentation and verification. Identify gaps in requirement adherence and coordinate issue resolution while providing guidance and training to end users.

Problem Identification (20%): Document and troubleshoot issues within systems, software, and processes. Work with stakeholders to monitor, report, and resolve issues, contributing to the development of low complexity solutions.

Documentation (20%): Create and analyze detailed documentation of business systems and user needs, ensuring clarity and organization in written requirements and key project deliverables.

Project Coordination (10%): Monitor project status to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring quality and timely deliverables. Coordinate projects from concept through implementation and prioritize new work requests.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or 4 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience:
- 1-2 years of functional analysis experience.
- 2-4 years of NASCO experience (expert level).
- 1-2 years of experience as a Business Analyst (intermediate level).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality, effective deliverables on time.
- Moderate understanding of core business analysis competencies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Familiarity with NASCO adjudication (preferred) and NASCO FlexLink Processes (nice to have).
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to effectively organize stakeholder meetings.
Working Conditions:
- Candidates must provide their own equipment (laptop, monitor, etc.). Access to a virtual desktop setup will be provided to allow users access to required systems and technology.
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities and deadlines.
