Job Description:
Business requirements analyst will be responsible for understanding the business needs, analyze the requirements, evaluate and compare the business team requirements with the functionalities on offer (current state, expected future state and gaps) . Scope out and document requirements, illustrate the process flows for business to understand and validate, work with technology application development team to provide clarifications on requirements throughout the development life cycle. Lead/participate in the QA process to make sure that the end product meets the requirements. The job profile will include scoping out and documenting requirements, identify all the data requirements for each Portfolio Management module, perform a thorough data mapping exercise - i.e. gap analysis of the data existing in-house and that required by the new Portfolio Management System, illustrate the data flows for business to understand and validate, work with technology team to provide clarifications on data requirements (data dictionary) throughout the development life cycle. Lead/participate in the QA process to make sure that the end product meets the requirements and ensures data integrity.
Must be a techno-functional business analyst with minimum of 5 years' experience in Financial Services Industry (preferably SMA specific domain) with proven track record of handling large scale multi-year multi-release implementation projects.
• Exposure to Portfolio Management Systems in the Managed Solutions / Wealth Management Space [domain areas like Trading and Rebalancing of accounts holding Equities, Bonds, Mutual Funds, Options]
• Hands-on system integration experience with emphasis on data flow and data analysis; work flow charts and hand-shakes between systems
• Experience in Data Mapping and Gap Analysis
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Strong written skills with the ability to produce high quality documents including business requirements deep dive analysis, use cases, process flows, data flows, state transition diagrams and testing the data inputs/throughputs/outputs
Principal Accountabilities:
• Business Requirements Analysis and translate Requirements Documents from Business team into High Level Design
• Work closely with the development team to elaborate the requirements
• Data Flow Diagram and State Transition Diagrams of the throughputs in all Components of the Portfolio Management System
• Detailed Data Dictionary identifying inputs and outputs [Trade Date Based vs. Settlement Date Based views of the Data Set]
• Data Mapping Analysis of the existing Sponsor Books and Records, in-house systems in the Sponsor's world and the Portfolio Management System
• Work closely with the testing team to develop and validate the test plans
• Validate the end product, evaluate the test results and facilitate the sign off of the product.
• Test Cases, Scripts and Scenarios to validate the data input, throughput and outputs
