Job Description
Years of Experience/Education:
- Typically requires 5-7 years relevant experience
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Responsibilities/Essential Duties:
- Assessing and interpreting business partner's and customer's reporting needs and requirements
- Work with business partners to gather and understand functional/technical requirements. Analyze data files, data layouts and data sources and targets to understand data structures.
- Translate business requirements into data requirements. Author and maintain data mapping and transformation rules book.
- Develop and maintain data preparation and validation routines to support data mining and have experience in creating complex data mining algorithms.
- Ability to evaluate, convert and interpret useful information data sets using data mining techniques.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Query data sources to support Client initiatives, Scrubbing and monitoring data to make sure that it meets Clients' requirements
- Serve as primary liaison between the technical team and the product team and end-users for the purpose of establishing a common understanding of requirements and the as-built product.
- Interview business users, analyzing their IT needs in order to develop descriptions of moderately complex systems proposals.
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Perform data integrity checks using data gap analysis.
- Strong ability to formulate business problems mathematically and strong problem solving skills.
- Proven data manipulation skills
