SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
PAY RANGE: $65,000 - $75,000
What You'll Do
This position is a full-time permanent position in a manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for assisting in the manufacturing of charitable and lottery gaming products, including pull-tab tickets (break-open tickets) and bingo paper.
The Business Application Support Specialist will report directly to the IT Director. The qualified candidate for this position will provide onsite support for our Council Bluffs and Omaha locations that includes supporting all users throughout our facilities, including those working remotely. In this role, the Business Application Support Specialist will provide comprehensive support for the IFS (Industrial and Financial Systems) applications. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing the IFS applications to ensure seamless business operations. The specialist will act as a liaison between the IT department and business units, ensuring that the application meets business needs and requirements.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Application Support:
- Provide day-to-day support for IFS applications, addressing user queries and resolving issues promptly.
- Monitor application performance and conduct regular health checks to ensure optimal functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, escalating to higher-level support when necessary.
- Business Analysis:
- Collaborate with business units to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Conduct gap analysis and recommend solutions to improve business processes using IFS applications.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new features and enhancements.
- Project Management:
- Participate in project teams to develop or modify IFS applications.
- Manage small to medium-sized projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Oversee testing, data migrations, and customer report writing.
- Provide oversight for projects involving new features and expanding system usage.
- Training and Documentation:
- Develop and deliver training sessions for end-users on IFS applications.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting manuals.
- Vendor Management:
- Liaise with IFS vendors for support and maintenance issues.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- ITIL, PMP, or other relevant certifications, preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in application support, preferably with IFS applications.
- Experience in business analysis and project management.
- Strong understanding of IFS applications and their functionalities.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficient in SQL and other database management tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a diverse environment.
