What you will do:
The Business Banking Channel Manager is responsible for leading and enhancing our business banking strategies. Our strategies include the growth of the business lending, deposits, and treasury management portfolios. This role is pivotal in driving the delivery and strengthening of our strategies, ensuring that our business banking line reaches its full potential. This position demands a collaborative effort, with the candidate taking ownership and driving initiatives autonomously. As our business scales, this role will continue to grow and evolve, offering increasing responsibilities and opportunities for professional development.
A day in your life might include:
- Drive the delivery of business banking strategies while continuously working on process and strategy improvement. Proactively identify opportunities for growth, improvement, and innovation, and develop strategic solutions to capitalize on these opportunities.
- Lead the implementation of strategic business banking initiatives, ensuring that goals and objectives are in alignment with overall business goals.
- Act as the driver and owner of the business line, taking full responsibility for its success.
- Analyze market trends, member feedback, and internal processes to uncover potential areas for enhancement, and take the initiative to implement effective and sustainable changes.
- Oversee the execution of key projects and programs designed to enhance the business banking line, coordinating efforts across multiple departments.
- Develop detailed action plans, set milestones, and assign responsibilities to team members to ensure smooth execution of strategies.
- Monitor the progress of strategic initiatives, providing regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance operational workflows and service delivery.
- Manage direct sales efforts in the initial stages by developing and implementing targeted sales plans to acquire new business banking members and expand existing relationships.
- Lead and execute direct sales strategies to acquire new business banking members and expand existing relationships.
- Engage with key members and prospects, building strong, lasting relationships and ensuring their business banking needs are met.
- Develop and implement sales plans, identify target markets, and establish sales goals.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to meet or exceed targets.
Additional Responsibilities may include:
- Lead strategic efforts to scale the business, ensuring alignment with organizational growth objectives.
- Develop and implement initiatives to expand market presence and optimize operational efficiency.
- Proactively identify and capitalize on opportunities for revenue growth and market expansion.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes, products, and services within the business banking line.
- Work closely with senior leadership, including the CEO and Chief Credit Officer, to align efforts and drive business objectives.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to create compelling sales materials and campaigns that support acquisition efforts.
- Influence and manage relationships with FCMS, the VFC, and digital platforms to enhance business banking services and customer experience.
- Foster a collaborative environment, working effectively with other teams and departments.
What we need from you:
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive lending experience
- 10+ years in a Business Development role
- Formal credit training preferred
- Demonstrated acumen for being visible in the Business Community
- Experience in leading and motivating a team of banking professionals, setting goals, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Compensation Information: Offers will be commensurate with experience and education.
- Salary: Min. $129,000 – Max. $231,000
