As a Business Banking Legal Agreements Associate on our Business Banking Governance Team you will be supporting centralized oversight for business functions including, but not limited to, legal agreements and disclosures. Oversight supports line of business adherence to firmwide policies and standards. This role will oversee inventory for completeness and accuracy, perform reconciliation(s), work closely with template owners, and special projects. In this role, you will develop expertise in firmwide topics, educate and assist business partners, influence process improvements, and make recommendations.

Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on the end to end process
- Advise stakeholders and template owners on roles / responsibilities
- Follow Firmwide and Line of Business policies, standards, and procedures
- Maintain a complete and accurate inventory of templates in scope and storage in approved repositories to support required periodic reviews
- Confirm appropriate business ownership for templates
- Foster consistency across the business owners for making sure the appropriate controls are established and reflected in CORE
- Perform research and analysis on items subject to deeper review
- Recognize and convey to leadership themes and observations, issues either systematic or behavioral that need to be addressed.
- Partner with Business Banking Business Units, Controls, Compliance, Audit and Legal to satisfy audit requests, control testing, compliance questions, etc.
- Lead and/or execute process improvement initiatives and make recommendations to enhance process, procedures, job aids where appropriate
- Protect the firm by applying sound risk management protocols and adhering to regulatory requirement
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (governance functions, Control Management, legal document handling, disclosure management, change management)
- Requires some knowledge of business operations processes and control requirements
- Good working knowledge of governance / oversight / controls in a business
- Experience with successfully executing process improvements
- Experience identifying issues and resolving the root cause
- Ability to adapt and actively looks for ways to mitigate risk to our clients and the bank
- Appreciation for operational complexities and how they may translate to risk
- Produces clear and succinct written and verbal communications and knows how to think through and frame messages for different audiences
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree
- Technical understanding of internal controls, operational risks, and infrastructure (such as CORE)
- Knowledge of Business Banking processes, procedures and business applications
- Experience in written and/or digital client facing communications, specifically terms and conditions for products or services
