Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Business Controller to join our clients team in Springfield, OH. As a key member of the country area management team, you will provide critical financial support and analysis to business leaders, helping drive decisions that align with the company’s financial goals. You will be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of management accounting, operational reporting, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and process improvement, with experience in a service environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in the local management team, integrating financial considerations into decision-making processes.
- Serve as a financial partner to business leaders, providing detailed analysis, reporting, and support.
- Ensure accurate and timely management accounting and operational reporting within the group’s framework.
- Prepare and analyze profitability reports for customers, projects, products, and agreements.
- Provide management with insights and recommendations on financial transactions, operational costs, inventories, sales, orders, taxes, depreciation, property, and other asset values.
- Assist in the preparation of operating budgets and forecasts, offering recommendations for future financial plans and internal controls.
- Identify and implement cost reduction programs, improved controls, and work simplification efforts.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s financial, legal, and IT policies and guidelines at all levels of the organization.
- Conduct local audits of service locations, reporting findings and recommendations to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPA designation is an asset.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or Controller roles, preferably in a service environment.
- Experience with SAP, Siebel, or other large ERP systems is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to recognize process improvement opportunities.
- Ability to travel 10-15%.
