Position Overview
The Business Coordinator will be providing front-line customer service to departments across campus, providing guidance and answering questions related to budgetary and financial needs. This position will review and resolve budget errors, analyze monthly financial reports, process journals, and run daily/monthly processes. Administratively, this position will also be responsible for handling all office operations for the Division of Finance, such as ordering supplies, keeping the office organized, preparing personnel documents (ePAR's), and scheduling meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years' of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports and correspondence
Ability to Analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems
Skill in collecting and analyzing complex data
Knowledge of budget control methods, policies, and procedures

Job Duties:
- Review budget errors on transactions and process budget override if appropriate; analyze budget balances, including researching discrepancies, and prepare budget reports; analyze monthly departmental budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls
- Provide front-line customer service, giving guidance to and answering questions from departmental staff
- Run daily/monthly processes and prepare journals (e.g., encumbrance/fringe benefit journals)
- Use the PeopleSoft Financial system to create and post budget journals and journal entries
- Provide one-on-one training to departmental staff on the Autmated budget Authorization (ABA), Axiom Reports, and general budget processes
- Serve as a point person for maintenance, mail, supplies & bills within the dept, and keep everything organized
- Manage and direct office operations, such as maintaining records and personnel items (ePAR's)
- Assist in organizing and scheduling meetings
- Prepare invoices, reports, memos, and other documents using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software
- 2May be required to coordinate with IT support on all office equipment needs
