Foothills Sports Medicine Physical Therapy, is a member of the Confluent Health family of physical therapy and occupational therapy companies. We are looking for a Business Development Representative to join our team and take on our West Valley Territory!

As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for increasing referrals (new patients) to clinics within Foothills through effective targeting, messaging, and strategic planning. You will serve as a liaison between Foothills facilities/staff (directors, clinicians, front office) and the physician (physician groups) in your respective territory. You will also pull through on other strategic initiatives, community events, sports medicine, and other brand outreach initiatives deemed strategically significant.

Essential Job Functions
- Develop strategic sales plans in territory to achieve quarterly referral forecasts.
- Work closely with Physical Therapy Clinics in territory to develop referral network and build Clinic brand and awareness within the community.
- Based on business need, coordinate and facilitate regular pathways for communication with clinics within territory to capitalize on opportunities for growth.
- Identify and target key physicians and physician groups within territory based on historical business trends, prescribing habits and physician specialty.
- Use data effectively to target physicians and physician group accounts and develop territory call rotation according to business needs.
- Based on territory geography, volume, trends and needs, schedule and conduct regular sales calls, business entertainment, educational offerings and special events with customers/prospects to increase new patient referrals (evaluations) to meet targeted forecast.
- Based on business need, facilitate and coordinate opportunities for clinical staff interaction with key physicians and physician groups and be a resource for clinical staff relative to territory physicians/groups.
- Workers’ compensation pull through efforts to include identification of top workers’ compensation referral sources in territory, along with clinical product pull through efforts with clinical operations.
- Manage territory database, including physician contact information, preferences, protocols and special requests. Communicate regularly with treating clinicians and Foothills regarding physician related issues.
- Communicate needs regularly regarding marketing/brand collateral to appropriate resource and assist with the creation of sales tools, print materials, mailers, advertisements, etc.
- Communicate customer concerns, complaints, and compliments to the appropriate individual. Follow up with regular customer contact to ensure loyalty to Foothills.
- Monitor customer feedback channels to identify potential negative customer concerns.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all physician specialties, referral patterns, competitors within the designated territory. Share knowledge with Director of Marketing/Sales.
- Plan, organize and participate in community outreach events as needed.
- Develop and communicate a quarterly review of territory performance to management and peers focusing on sales results (growth), key successes, key challenges, critical issues and develop quarterly action plans to positively effect change in territory (company) new patient volume.
- Develop and communicate weekly plans to effectively target customers and maintain frequency with top accounts.
- Coordinate and assist in facilitating reverse referrals from Foothills facilities to referring providers.
- Manage territory expenses and track return on investment of sales activities.

- Able to develop, foster and advance relationships with others, both within and outside of the organization.
- Ability to maintain and ensure confidentiality of all patient/client information in accordance with HIPAA policies and procedures.
- Understanding of EMR and CRM systems
Minimum Education/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or health related field
- At least 3 years of direct sales experience, rehabilitation or service-based industry preferred
- Efficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Possession of valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Possession of automobile for business use
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
