Position Summary:
Advancia Government Services (a federal government contractor) is seeking a qualified Business Development Administrator to support the General Manager and Director of Operations with administration and project tasks, to include business development and growth as well as funding and bids. This candidate will identify opportunities for business growth and create marketing strategies based on those opportunities to meet and exceed revenue goals. They will demonstrate a high degree of effective organizational, administrative and IT skills with the ability to balance a wide variety of priorities. A strong attention to detail and the ability to show initiative and autonomy will be required together with an ability to work under pressure in a variety of situations. This position may be worked remotely if candidate is self-motivated.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assist in the implementation and delivery of bid strategies leading to successful bids, including market research and intelligence
• Manage and operate bid/proposal information systems ensuring data and information are accurate and current
• Ensuring that all bid and contract documentation such as contract SOW, RFQ, Pricing, etc. are maintained to a high standard
• Following up actions from meetings with appropriate people as required
• Contributing and minute taking at Team Meetings
• Drafting briefing papers, correspondence and other documentation for contract meetings
• Carry out specific administrative and spreadsheet tasks
• Ensure information is circulated and communicated with the ability to follow up with key individuals
• Encouraging new and existing clients by communicating with marketing materials in emails and phone calls
• Research available upcoming contracts that align with company goals and qualifications
• Complete capture documents in full; including appropriate research into contracts past and past personnel.
• Work with other team members to write position descriptions, post positions, search and recruit personnel, etc for complete proposal readiness.
• Examines risks and potentials for the business opportunities.
• Estimates partners’ needs and goals
• All other duties as assigned
Education & Experience Requirements:
• Two (2) to five (5) years’ experience in a related field preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to continually learn.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work on own or with a team.
Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands:
• Mainly sedentary, some standing and lifting to 25 pounds, mainly indoors, repetitive movements such as using a mouse and keyboard
Additional Requirements:
• Selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport
• Selected candidate subject to background check
• Position contingent upon award of contract
