Job Description Summary
The Business Development Assistant (temporary) will be responsible for multiple tasks with the Business Development team in the Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics. Whether on event day, set up or post event, they will be a helping hand in any aspect of our events. The schedule will vary depending on events and ideally will include a couple days during the week and weekend coverage. This position will gain experience in all different aspects of operations and facilities as well. This position will report to the Associate Director of Business Development.
Job Description
Responsibilities
+ Helping with equipment for event set-ups, including chairs, tables, tents etc.
+ Ensure venues are clean and organized, being the POC when needed if we have multiple events each day. Always good to have extra hands when we get super busy.
+ Greet guests, answer questions, and provide relevant information. Being assigned various tasks by the event manager. Facilitating the proper organization and cleanliness of venues. Upholding any necessary safety precautions. Providing high levels of customer service. Welcoming guests to the venue
+ Take tickets from customers at the entry gates if we need to jump in and help anywhere for any of our events.
+ Assist with coordination and execution of events, as needed.
+ Give assistance in getting ready for our summer rec camp. There is a lot of logistical things on the back end that need to get done and it would be super helpful to have the extra hands.
+ Help with any event reconciliation if needed.
