Business Development Capture Analyst - Samtek Inc.

As a Business Development Capture Analyst with Samtek, you will support our energetic and committed growth organization through the identification of new opportunities to support our public sector clients. You will be a critical, foundational member on the Business Development team and will be looked to as an expert on new and emerging opportunities, expiring contracts and potential re-competes, partnering opportunities, and competitive threats. You will build relationships with industry peers and customers to increase your understanding of our marketspace and better identify opportunities and partnerships. You are someone who enjoys distilling information and is eager to grow in a successful and inclusive Business Development organization. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide detailed market intelligence and analysis for specific federal departments and agencies
• Conduct in-depth research on federal government contracting opportunities utilizing GSA eBuy, Sam.gov, Agency-specific procurement forecasts and websites, and other common research tools
• Conduct opportunity analysis, developing assessments based on: 
  • Solicitation Size, Scope, and Complexity 
  • Alignment to core competencies 
  • Past Performances and Corporate Experience based on solicitation needs and program goals 
  • Timing 
  • Competition 
• Support the content development in response to RFIs and Sources Sought
• Analyze competitor strengths and weaknesses to contribute to strategies to win 
• Stay abreast of government procurement trends, policies, and regulations relevant to our industry 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and up to 4 years related work experience.
  • 1-2 years of related experience is preferred.
• Basic understanding or the ability to learn Federal government procurement processes.
• Experience writing (especially responses to RFIs, Sources Sought, and White Papers).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Skilled at performing in-depth research, analysis, and data summarization.
• Curious and driven to investigate and increase understanding of Technology, Government Procurement, Government Agencies, Industry Partners and Competitors. 
• Ability to take direction and work both collaboratively and independently to accomplish work assignments.
• Understanding of latest technologies and market trends a plus 
• Competitive spirit and strong drive to win. 
• Desire to learn the Government Contracting Business and grow into a Capture Manager or Business Development Executive.
