We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team in the Energy industry. This exciting role will focus on developing and executing new growth strategies, fostering key relationships, and driving our business forward in the energy sector. The successful candidate will have a strong background in sales, account management, and energy, with a particular focus on upstream, data, analytics and completion automation. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement robust business development strategies to drive growth in the energy sector.
2. Identify, evaluate, and pursue potential business opportunities and partnerships in the energy market.
3. Leverage data and analytics to inform decision-making and strategy development.
4. Manage and grow existing client accounts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality service and fostering long-term relationships.
5. Stay abreast of trends and developments in the energy industry, particularly in the areas of upstream, midstream, and fracking.
6. Utilize Spotfire or equivalent software to analyze and interpret data, providing valuable insights to drive business growth.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of business development strategies and initiatives.
8. Participate in industry events and forums to network with potential clients and partners.
9. Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders, highlighting business performance, opportunities, and growth strategies.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification would be an advantage.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development within the energy industry.
3. Strong knowledge of the energy sector, particularly in the areas of upstream, midstream, and fracking.
4. Proven experience in using data and analytics to inform business decisions and strategy development.
5. Proficiency in selling software for data analysis and interpretation.
6. Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills.
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.
9. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
10. Self-motivated, with a strong drive to achieve business objectives.
11. Willingness to travel as required to meet clients, attend industry events, and pursue business opportunities.
