Drive growth through building market and mindshare with new and existing accounts in a defined geographic territory.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Development, execution, and management of a Territory Sales Plan, developed in alignment with key stakeholders
- Coordinate partner onboarding with internal resources to establishing credit, pricing, terms, marketing and vendor requirements.
- Management of overall business relationships between Westcon and top-tier partners in Territory – as well as recruit net new partners -- to drive and evangelize Westcon's and its Vendor Partners strategic initiatives to gain executive level commitments and drive day to day activities to promote accountability and optimum sales results.
- Work with Vendor Partners and Customers in evangelizing, creating and executing marketing programs and activities to grow market share and increase sales volumes.
- Share market intelligence and trends with Product Marketing, Sales and Finance to ensure Westcon's relativity in the marketplace.
- Update product knowledge through professional publications, Vendor product training and industry trade shows.
- Partner with peers within WestconGroup and Comstor developing cross sell opportunities.
- Serve as an escalation point for customers as well as a liaison for the Westcon Executive team.
- Business Development Manager Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Previous experience, with Account/Channel/Product Management (UCC preferred) Outside Sales
- 5-7 years of previous Unified Communications outside sales experience
- Demonstrated ability to successfully conduct executive briefings and business reviews
- Proven ability to develop and manage regional sales strategy
- Ability to travel up to 70%
- Industry and technical knowledge a plus
- Excellent presentation and written communication skills
