Business Development Manager - Facility Services - Pritchard Industries

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager with a focus on selling Bundled Facilities Services to join our National Sales Organization.

Job Summary:

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for building and managing a pipeline of prospective clients and working collaboratively with sales, marketing, and operations to position Pritchard as a preferred partner in the facilities management space. You will leverage your expertise in business development and will use your awareness of market and industry trends to identify new business opportunities and will assist in the development of position specific strategic goals. Building key customer relationships, negotiating, and closing business deals and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions will be critical to the success of this position. This is a senior level position within Pritchard. It is the BDM’s job to work closely with the Vice President(s) and to coordinate with marketing, General Managers of Operations and local, Operations Leaders in all new business pursuits. As a BDM at Pritchard, you call on and set meetings with prospective clients, earn the opportunity to present our services, and quarterback the win strategy from internal and external initial meetings to proposal, presentation, and contract award. This role is primarily focused on the specialty division Pritchard Facilities Services; therefore, will be targeting mobile/route-base cleaning and maintenance opportunities as well as other PFS service offerings (Landscaping, Snow Removal, Handyman Services, HVAC maintenance, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development Strategy:
   • Create and implement a bundled services business development strategy aligned with the company's overall growth objectives.
   • Identify large, prospective clients in need of facility services.
   • Analyze market trends, competitors, and clients need to tailor effective proposals, presentations, and client deliverables.
2. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
   • Conduct extensive market research to identify prospects and generate leads.
   • Engage with potential clients to understand their facility services requirements and pain points.
   • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
   • Conduct compelling presentations and product demonstrations to showcase our services and capabilities.
3. Proposal Development and Contract Negotiation:
   • Collaborate with the solutions team to craft customized proposals that address the unique needs of clients.
   • Lead negotiations and contract discussions to secure new business opportunities.
   • Develop proposals that address client’s needs as outlined in issued RFP’s or as discovered in meetings with prospective client.
   • Ensure all proposals and contracts comply with company policies and industry regulations.
4. Sales and Revenue Targets:
   • Achieve sales targets and revenue goals, tracking progress in CRM and reporting to management regularly.
   • Execute and be accountable for sales initiatives.
5. Market Expansion and Networking:
   • Identify opportunities for expanding services into new market segments.
   • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility.
   • Build a network of industry contacts and potential partners to drive business growth.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3 years’ progressive experience in Facility Services sales and/or business development required.
• Proven track record in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the facility services or related industry.
• Strong understanding of facility management services and solutions.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel within the region as required – expected travel 50%-75%
