This Opportunity:
- Responsible for working with market and practice leaders to develop geographic growth initiatives.
- Works with regional leadership to develop resources and investments needed to meet growth goals outlined in Florida business plan.
- Modifies business growth plans as conditions change.
- Analyzes information that evaluates the geography's performance, strengths and weaknesses, and competitive landscape in order to identify new growth opportunities.
- Estimates business impact of strategic growth initiatives and prepares reports and recommendations for executive leadership teams.
- Proposes plans for leveraging internal resources in order to capitalize on growth opportunities and tracks performance.
- Administers long-term strategic plans for the growth of within Florida.
- Assists in the development of strategies for identifying and responding to business development opportunities, which may include internal expansion into new markets or external expansion via partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, or joint ventures.
- Gathers and analyzes data evaluating new business opportunities or assessing potential markets, to assist executive teams in decision making and planning related to Florida geographic growth.
- Prepares proposals, reports, or presentations demonstrating the potential value of new business opportunities.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline
- Strong experience in strategy planning, development and execution related to project management and business development
- Ability to successfully coordinate multi-disciplinary resources needed for efficient project delivery
- Skilled in collaborating with other internal business leaders to evaluate opportunities and strategies for growth
- Strong networking skills and an extensive network of contacts throughout the state of Florida
- Proven track record in business development
- Skilled at engaging with clients and effectively negotiating contracts
- Strong ability to influence others to achieve alignment with growth initiatives and resources needed for project execution
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to accurately and professionally present information to all levels of individuals both internal and external
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects through prioritization and workload scheduling
- This position requires an MVR records check verifying that you possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record which meets the requirements of SEH’s Driving Program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of fifteen (15) years of previous experience related to civil engineering projects and business development efforts.
