Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager/Director to join our team, focusing on driving business growth in the B2B contract security services sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in contractual B2B sales, with a deep understanding of the security guard industry (both armed and unarmed). As a key contributor to the company’s growth strategy, this role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients, and utilizing HubSpot CRM for lead management and sales tracking.
This role offers flexibility in schedule management, a competitive base salary, and a commission-based incentive structure tied to contract value and duration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Growth: Identify, develop, and manage strategic business opportunities in the B2B contract security services space, focusing on armed and unarmed security solutions.
- Lead Generation & Management: Develop and nurture leads through various channels, including company-provided resources and self-generated opportunities. Utilize HubSpot CRM for effective lead management, tracking sales activities, and monitoring the sales pipeline.
- Consultative Sales Approach: Engage in consultative sales processes, understanding client security needs and presenting tailored solutions that align with Valentis Group's capabilities.
- Client Engagement & Relationship Building: Build long-term relationships with new and existing clients, acting as the primary point of contact for negotiations, proposal discussions, and ongoing service satisfaction.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and present comprehensive proposals and solutions for prospective clients, ensuring alignment with their security requirements and Valentis Group’s service offerings.
- Market Research & Expansion: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, new market lines, and potential growth opportunities in the security services industry.
- Sales Strategy Development: Work closely with executive management to develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue targets and grow the business development team’s capabilities.
- Collaboration: Coordinate efforts with other company divisions, ensuring a seamless flow of information and collaboration in supporting overall business objectives.
- Team Leadership & Development: Train and mentor junior business development staff, ensuring the team is aligned with company goals and standards.
- HubSpot CRM Utilization: Leverage HubSpot CRM to track leads, manage sales pipelines, and report on key sales metrics, ensuring the effective use of the CRM system to maximize business development efforts.
- Networking & Industry Events: Attend industry conferences and networking events to represent Valentis Group and stay updated on the latest developments in the security services industry.
Required Qualifications:
- B2B Contract Sales Experience: A minimum of 3 years of B2B sales experience in a contractual environment, preferably within the security guard services industry.
- Security Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the security guard industry (both armed and unarmed services), with a focus on contract security sales.
- CRM Proficiency: Advanced knowledge and practical experience with HubSpot CRM for managing leads, tracking sales activities, and producing sales reports.
- Consultative Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability to apply consultative sales techniques and effectively present tailored solutions to meet client needs.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients at various levels of an organization.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a dynamic workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Ability to work cross-functionally with different teams and departments to support business goals and ensure client satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in managing large-scale contracts in the security services or related industries.
- Previous experience in a sales leadership role with responsibility for mentoring and managing sales teams.
- Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets in a commission-driven environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
