About the Job
As our Business Development Manager, you will play an essential role in the continued growth and development of the organization. You will be responsible for cultivating potential leads, reaching out to prospects, and converting potential sales opportunities (warm leads). Working closely with experts with the Development and Operations team, this position builds and manages a pipeline of potential clients, and plans, delivers, and executes a tradeshow, conferences, and affiliation schedule that supports the entire Development organization. You will seamlessly prepare and execute all events in partnership with the Sales executives for all business lines to meet the revenue growth and business objectives for Development. This role will report to the Senior Vice President of Business Development and can be based in our Orlando FL offices or remote.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications or an equivalent combination of education, training and expertise
- 3-5+ years supporting a Business Development and/or Sales function, in a fast-paced environment with a proven track record of conversions
- Knowledge of digital marketing and lead generation strategies
- Excellent communication and presentations skills as well as exceptional writing and editing skills
- Knowledge of the print production process and supplier negotiations is desirable
- Experience in trade show/event management preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Travel up to 25% of the year, primarily tradeshows and other affiliated events.

- Responsible for the development and implementation of an annual, strategic, special events calendar that ensures the efforts and resources are utilized in a manner that provides the greatest return to the organization.
- Ensure all events are planned to capture the attention of the intended audience and the media.
- Manage the production of each event, ensuring all appropriate sponsorships are achieved and all details are managed in a creative, timely and cost-efficient manner.
- Develop and implement communications and media strategies that successfully deliver information and key messages to the public.
- Develop and maintain a strong and productive relationship with print media.
- Ensure the organization is understood by the media and the media are interested in presenting information to the public in a manner that informs and educates them on the organization.
- Direct market research activities to keep abreast of changing demographics and other relevant issues in order to evaluate marketing and communication activities and to monitor emerging issues.
- Ensure the development of advertising and promotional plans.
- Manage the use of external resources as they pertain to the marketing and communications function (e.g. advertising agency, printers, etc.).
- Researches and identifies new business opportunities using multiple channels (cold call, emails, social media, etc.)
- Screens all leads for sales fit and transfers “warm” leads to the appropriate Sales Exec
- Conducts studies, prepares reports, and gives advice on the Development strategy and ongoing growth programs.
- Discusses overall intent of programs and projects with the entire team and utilizing subject area knowledge, drives growth solutions.
- Maintains accurate information within the CRM tool (currently SalesForce) and delivers actionable management reports on an ongoing basis
- Participates in the production of weekly and monthly lead generation efforts
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
