This position will be taking on the Business Development and origination for a fast growing company that is a leading cloud-based platform for clean energy development and procurement. They will be driving new sales leads through networking with their existing rolodex of renewable energy development companies. Th
? Drive new sales leads through networking with your existing Rolodex, owning and coordinating all aspects of the software license sale with your colleagues
? Use deep knowledge and Rolodex in utility-scale clean energy development, project feasibility etc to develop workflows and charts that depict the developer and originator customer journey, the utilization of software, cost stacks, financial analysis, and risk analysis to drive clients to a close
? Analyze and understand developers’ business processes, specifically PPA origination & development processes.
? Forecast customer pipeline across developers, navigating potentially complex sales cycles and driving efficiency into the customer acquisition process;
? Help with customer project pipeline forecasting to better understand account value, size and usage;
Qualifications:
- Min. 4 years’ track record of selling to utility-scale energy project developers, or a min of 4 years in helping large project developers optimize their projects and increase the value of their pipelines
- Excellent knowledge of, and rolodex of clean energy developers to leverage
- Solid understanding of developers’ business processes, specifically PPA origination & development processes.
- Experience navigating the procurement cycles that utility-scale solar development engineering, PPA origination, site selection/development have is a prerequisite
- Experience working for a project development software provider is a plus
- Experience with web-based software as a service (SaaS) applications (preferred);
