As a part of our continued growth strategy, we are seeking a hunter to drive growth through new business generation in our broad Industrial segment. **This is a remote job and does not need to be based in St. Louis area**
Ideal for an early career professional with a engineering background, this is a sales hunter role that will take what is learned from the existing customers to strategically identify new customer markets, generate leads and create new opportunities. The ideal candidate is curious, motivated, independent and organized. This role will report to the Custom Products Sales Manager and work closely with Engineering and Operations to navigate complex design and sales cycles to satisfy customer demand and grow the business.
Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain relationships with customer base.
- Deepen the understanding of product applications/use cases within customer segments.
- Identify areas where we have a small market share and have the opportunity for expansion.
- Create leads through understanding of the competitors to the customers we have.
- Seek information to develop knowledge about product applications to generate industry and application specific value propositions.
- Penetrate target accounts through outbound calls & emails, working with marketing team, attending trade shows, etc.
- Work with Engineering to develop and redesign products according to customer needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, communications, or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years’ experience in B2B sales, preferably selling highly engineered products and/or components.
- Comfortable prospecting new accounts and working with a large number of customers.
- Ability to accurately forecast sales through effective pipeline management in a CRM.
- Excel at creating and delivering customized sales presentations and proposals.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
- A high level of attention to detail and excellent decision-making skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
- Must be passionate and results-driven, with the ability to thrive in a fast-faced environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed up to 50% to visit customers & prospects within the US.
