Spherion is hiring a Business Development Manager to cover Boone county!
The primary responsibility of a Business Development Manager is to increase sales activity through new account development. This position is accountable for achieving local office/market sales goals consistently to ensure a high level of customer service to new clients.
Responsibilities:
Prospect Management:
-Participate in local networking for lead generation, community involvement, and to create brand awareness
-Identify new prospects within the territory based on the Spherion ideal client profile
-Classify and prioritize both prospects and existing clients
-Research new companies and complete pre-call planning
-Source and identify company contacts
-Execute new business development calls
-Schedule and execute new joint client meetings with BDM, Market Development Manager, and/or leadership
-Execute new client meetings
Client Management:
-Execute both new and existing client meetings
-Develop company organizational charts for each company
-Develop and maintain a sales pipeline
-Execute Ad calls, Lead calls, and MPC calls
-Execute Target Account Programs/Marketing Campaigns
-Facilitate RFPs, Agreements, and Client Business Reviews (CBRs/QBRs)
-Price business in alignment with marketing pricing strategy
-Partner with the Strategic Accounts team as necessary
-Ensure client quality control
-Mentor Business Development Associates (BDAs)
-Identify gaps in service for current clients
-Facilitate sales and recruiting collaboration to ensure desired business results
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
-Strong communication and listening skills to apply a consultative sales process.
-Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google as these are critical to your success in this role
Education:
Bachelors
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2-3 years of verifiable sales experience, preferably B2B selling
-Strong affinity for business development, including service calls and marketing calls
-A desire to increase business opportunities in your market by being actively involved in the community
-Must have reliable transportation, valid Driver???s License, and ability to use a personal vehicle daily to successfully perform job duties
