The Business Development and Marketing Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Business Development and Marketing (BD&M) department to ensure the team is well-positioned to achieve goals in a productive, innovative, creative, and collaborative environment and in alignment with the firm’s overall strategic efforts, with an eye towards exceptional client service.
Responsibilities:Essential Functions:
- Works closely with BD&M Directors and senior staff on the coordination and implementation of special projects
- Assists in the coordination of tracking and analyzing the firm’s new business pursuit data, Mansfield reporting and panel assignments to regularly provide ROI and metrics to firm management
- Works with various offices to oversee and arrange photography sessions as needed and is responsible for maintaining lawyer photography
- Works closely with the department Directors to develop and monitor BD&M department budget and coordinates monthly reporting
- Supports the budget and expense approval process as a resource for expense coding, budgeting and processing
- Manages and updates the BD&M department intranet pages, coordinating with various teams such as design, CRM, events, marketing communications, etc.
- Coordinates and facilitates relationships with BD&M department vendors, including photographers, videographers and others as needed across firm-wide offices
- Coordinates and communicates deadlines of directory submissions and other surveys in close collaboration with the global BD&M team, as well as tracking results
- Assists with projects related to the BD&M proposal generation tool
- Facilitates BD&M department policy and procedure documentation and communication
- Coordinates orientation and integration of the BD&M team staff
- Assists with the creation and maintenance of BD&M departmental organizational charts, job descriptions and job postings
- Assists with the planning of BD&M department meetings, retreats, social gatherings and celebrations
- Performs other duties as assigned or required to meet Firm goals and objectives
Qualifications:
Education/Training/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience has been directly related to the functions of the job
Professional Experience:
- Three or more years of demonstrated success in a marketing, research, management, and/or communications-related field, either in the professional services (g., law, accounting, or consulting) or in a comparable position(s) in the corporate, trade association, or academic sectors
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all levels of the Firm and outside vendors
- Ability to work in a diverse team environment and effectively support the demanding needs of the Firm
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines with shifting priorities
- Must be a self-starter with a high level of initiative
- Strong customer service skills, able to anticipate needs
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects
