JOB SUMMARY
This position advises Credit Union management of relevant needs, pertinent business opportunities, and material or adverse developments in the Community Partner population, and establishes, manages, and sustains constructive and productive relationships with civic, charitable, community, and local/state organizations to facilitate an appropriate level of support and contribution by the credit union to the community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
May include any and/or all of the following:
- Identify and implement the Credit Union’s strategic initiatives, with special emphasis on the business strategies that achieve growth of membership, increase awareness for credit union products and services, and provide unmet needs regarding financial wellness in the community.
- Establish, develop, maintain, and continuously enhance relationships with key community partners to enhance the credit union’s ability to identify and respond to needs and effectively position the credit union as a benefit to our existing and potential members.
- Measure and report on growth within SEGs/Community Partners, reflecting correlation between business development activities and the increased penetration.
- Work with our markets to provide educational opportunities that enhance community knowledge of financial services and establish the credit union as the primary resource for those financial services.
- Visit SEG/Community Partner sites and coordinate communication and enrollment activities with corporate personnel to build, enhance, and sustain member relationships.
- Participate in community activities, e.g. Rotary, United Way, that bring visibility to the Credit Union and support the communities in which we serve.
- Manage all market donations and sponsorships to maintain credit union visibility and support in the communities we serve.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Develop, monitor and manage budget and expenses.
- Orchestrate membership events and promotions that may/may not fall during normal business hours.

QUALIFICATIONS
Critical Development Experiences:
Pursue opportunities for professional growth and development through training, education and self-study
Successfully complete all applicable compliance training and testing
Education and experience equivalent to:
A minimum of two years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience
A two year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school equivalent to approximately 64 credit hours
REQUIREMENTS
Regular attendance and timeliness are essential functions of this position. While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for a significant period of time and perform functions that require manual dexterity. The employee must occasionally reach above or below normal body position, stoop or bend, and carry, lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. A normal range of hearing, vision, and speech are required to effectively work with co-employees and members.

Follows regulatory and policy compliance requirements, which include those efforts in compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Regulations, Identity Theft Red Flags and other compliance related Policies. This position also requires maintaining confidentiality with regard to non-public information about our members and the Credit Union.
