Position: Business Development Specialist
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid, 2-3 days onsite scheduled)
Pay: $77,500 to $105,000 annually (exempt)
Experience: 3+ years of experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
Education: A bachelors degree is required.
Type: Full-time; Direct Hire
Schedule: Day Shift, 9:00am to 5:30pm (flexibility to work overtime and weekends)
Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Business Development Specialist to join our dynamic law firm client!
Job Description:
- Serve as business development (BD) liaison to assigned practice groups, industry groups, and client teams.
- Develop and implement practice, industry, and client specific BD plans identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships, generate new business, cross-sell services, and increase visibility.
- Analyze and evaluate current and potential BD initiatives, adjusting to maximize efficiency across practice, industry and client teams.
- Make recommendations to attorneys and professionals in BD and marketing strategies, demonstrating a strong understanding of the state of the market.
- Partner with other members of the Marketing and Business Development team to ensure that marketing materials are updated regularly and that content reflects the substantive strengths, accomplishments, and current activities of the firm and practice/industry groups.
- Support firmwide knowledge management efforts, including experience management and client data maintenance.
- Work with communications professionals to drive thought leadership through external/third-party media placements relevant to the practice and industry groups.
- Lead meetings with internal/external stakeholders.
- Oversee team and projects, and support firm leadership with special projects.
- Review and interpret client, financial, industry, and other data, and respond to requests for information in a timely manner.
- Assist with practice or industry specific awards submissions; and track, record, and report on projects and feedback received.
Position Requirements:
- Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), DMS, proposal and experience management systems, WYSIWYG website editor, social media platforms, and tools for social media, press monitoring, and email marketing campaign.
- Have a solid grasp of and deep experience supporting business development efforts with a practical understanding of how/why clients leverage skills for trials, complex litigation, multi-district litigation, class action litigation, intellectual property litigation, antitrust litigation.
- Must have exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Strong writing skills and ability to manage edits from multiple contributors are needed.
