About the Job
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead analytics initiatives to drive global data platform adoption, including defining scope, gathering requirements, developing business cases, and conducting high-level design sessions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional global and local teams to develop data-driven business use cases and execute strategies that promote the adoption of global data platforms and architecture.
- Utilize data platforms (such as Databricks) and BI tools like Power BI to present business value propositions, support evidence, and recommend solutions or approaches.
- Lead discovery, requirements gathering, and business case development for expanding MDM solutions for patient data.
- Translate large datasets into meaningful insights to improve customer experiences across business units such as marketing, eCommerce, manufacturing, R&D, and customer care.
- Identify unmet needs and gaps in data reporting automation, and translate them into new or enhanced data product requirements, such as reports, data automation, and advanced analytics.
- Effectively communicate technical and business information to internal teams, customers, partners, and executives.
- Represent the organization as a primary contact for specific projects, influencing decisions and negotiating agreements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies, with experience in tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis using SQL and Excel modeling.
- Ability to analyze trends and provide data-driven recommendations to solve business challenges.
- Strong understanding of systems, software, and technology concepts.
- Experience with data analysis tools and data modeling methodologies.
- Operates as an individual contributor with responsibility for managing projects and delivering desired results. May act as a mentor or direct the work of lower-level professionals.
- Majority of time spent managing projects, from design to implementation, while adhering to policies and utilizing specialized knowledge.
- Recognized as an expert, managing large projects or processes with significant autonomy and limited oversight.
- Contributes to defining the direction of new products, processes, or operational plans, significantly impacting workgroup results.
- Handles moderately complex problems and implements solutions that improve processes or systems.
- Represents the organization in key projects, influencing decision-making, and negotiating agreements.
- Provides guidance, coaching, and training to other employees, often managing complex projects and delegating work.
- Work with business leaders to understand how data-driven strategies can enhance efficiency and add value to operations.
- Define and manage use cases to improve products, processes, or services using data sets.
- Collaborate with Business Relationship Managers (BRMs), business stakeholders, and IT Product Owners to define requirements for system or product changes.
- Drive business objectives throughout the solution delivery process.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, OR an advanced degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in the Databricks data platform and related services.
- Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) solution implementation.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Experience in Big Pharma, healthcare, or life sciences sectors is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with BI and analytics tools, including exploratory data analysis and predictive/prescriptive analytics.
- MBA or advanced degree in Science, Technology, Business Management, or Information Systems.
- Experience with digital health platforms.
- Certification in Product Management is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, SAP, and process management tools like Miro, Visio, and Workfront.
- Experience working in both Waterfall and Agile projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills, especially in managing complex data sets and driving process improvements.
- Expertise in process mapping, value stream mapping, and customer journey development.
