About the Job
Our client is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst/Developer to enhance their processes and operational efficiency. This role involves working closely with business users to understand their needs, developing solutions, and presenting findings to executives. This is a fulltime opportunity located near Latham, NY. Responsibilities of the BI Analyst/Developer will include:*Develop and manage BI solutions for various business entities.
*Analyze business processes and data to provide actionable insights.
*Use Power BI to present data and create visualizations from data warehouses or operational databases.
*Collaborate with data architects and ETL developers to define BI requirements and build supporting data marts.
*Document solutions and train users on BI tools.
*Extract additional information from ERP systems into operational databases.
Qualifications of the BI Analyst/Developer:*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
*5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI, SQL queries, MS Excel, and Excel Pivot tables.
*Industry experience in Distribution and Manufacturing.
*Experience in mid-sized, high-growth environments with competing priorities.
*Proficiency in DAX formulas.
*Strong skills in data transformation using SQL queries.
*Expertise in data presentation and dashboard creation.
*Experience with Power BI is essential; familiarity with other tools like Tableau or Qlik is a plus.
