McGuireWoods has an opportunity for an individual to join its Marketing & Business Development team as a Manager of Business Intelligence & Analytics. The manager will be responsible for helping the firm drive revenue through the delivery of strategic research and analysis. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated critical thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit that can creatively foster business growth, enhance client engagement and elevate the firm’s brand visibility. The manager will be proactive in nature and will work to develop and implement strategies for new business and client development.

Responsibilities:- Deliver proactive and strategic research and analysis and identify opportunities for new business that aligns with the firm’s strategic plan.
- Research, organize and analyze internal and external data on clients, prospects, and competitors, as well as forecast and translate industry and market trends.
- Evaluate and analyze data to create strategic approaches for RFP responses.
- Operate as a subject-matter expert for competitive landscaping and the market, in order to advise the business development team on opportunities and work with BD leads to communicate opportunities to firm and practice leadership.
- Liaise with outside vendors and internal key stakeholders to examine research tools and make recommendations for adoption.
- Provide research support for events, newsletters, alerts, communications, firm campaigns, cross-selling initiatives and other business develop activities.
- Benchmark our activities against our competitors.
- Identify opportunities to build upon existing client relationships and maximize depth of service with existing clients, including with cross-selling efforts and target list building.
- Establish processes for ensuring up-to-date intelligence gathering and circulation.
- Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field of study along with 5 years’ experience in a similar role preferably within a professional services organization.

- High competency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
