Top Stack Group has been retained by an enterprise organization with HQ outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to assist them in hiring a Lead BI Engineer to to join their Business Intelligence team! This is a 100% remote, full-time, salaried position with a comprehensive benefits package.
Position Summary
As a Lead BI Engineer, you will be responsible in analyzing raw data, developing, and maintaining datasets, improving data quality and efficiency and build various data visualizations. The engineer needs to have strong analytical skills and will involve various methods to integrate different data sources, transform data into useful business drivers.
Responsibilities
- Specify, design, build, and support data warehousing and BI solutions.
- Create dashboards and KPIs to show the business performance to management.
- Design and maintain data models used for reporting and analytics.
- Help the broader team identify new features and business opportunities through your analysis.
- Enable self service capabilities within the BI tools for users to be able to slice and dice information as needed.
- Build various data visualizations to tell the story of trends, patterns, and outliers.
- Monitor and tunes BI tools to ensure optimum level of performance.
- Provide updates to customers, business, and staff on a timely basis for projects and tasks.
- Analyze existing reports and optimize them for standardization across the company.
- Ensure data accuracy by validating data for new and existing tools.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or information systems.
- 7+ yrs Experience with SQL, SQL Server, ETL, SSRS, SSIS, PowerBI, SSAS software, systems, and programs.
- 5+ yrs Experience with Agile, Python, Data warehouse (Azure Data warehousing), Azure Cloud, TSQL, and R language software and systems.
- 3+ yrs Experience with Data ingestion, Data processing and Data publishing methodologies
- Fluent in statistics, datasets, and scripting.
- Understanding data modeling, data schemas (normalized, flat, star, snowflake, etc.).
- Understanding database operations and optimization for RDBMS like SQL Server
