Summary:
Our Business Intelligence team is growing, and we're looking for an outstanding Business Intelligence Lead Analyst to join our team. Data is at the core of everything that Huntington does, and the Business Intelligence team acts as the guardians of its integrity, and how it can be best used to make decisions throughout the business. Our goal is to be the Best performing Regional Bank in America, and we need data and analytics to meet that goal.
As we advance our data science and analytics capabilities, we want individuals interested in supporting the continued creation of existing reports and analytics products, while continually seeking ways to gain greater and more timely insights from the data through improvements to the data structure, toolsets, training, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partners with senior stakeholders and business teams to elicit business requirements.
- Provides advanced business support for existing reports, dashboards, or other tools.
- Assists with the translation of data results into written reports, tables, graphs, and charts to convey information to management.
- Reviews and presents written communication materials that effectively summarize findings and support recommendations.
- Creates ad hoc reports and views on a frequent basis to assist management in understanding, researching, and analyzing issues.
- Teaches and advocates the use of business intelligence tools across levels of the organization.
- Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members and develop team to work with all areas of the organization.
- Works with stakeholders to ensure that business needs are clearly understood and that services meet those needs.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of applications, methodologies, and trends.
- Analyze existing systems or procedures and identifies technical or procedural improvements.
- Serves as liaison between BICoE pod and other pods/business units.
- Coaches' individuals through change and serves as a role model.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or additional work experience
- 7+ years related work experience including using BI tools to solve complex business problems, utilizing data analysis tools and techniques, writing software requirements and test specifications , using data to drive business decisions, and working with BI and other tooling (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, SQL, Snowflake)
Preferred Qualifications:
- SQL programming (or any relational database programming language)
- Experienced at leveraging both structured and unstructured data sources
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex results to technical and non-technical audiences
- Strategic, intellectually curious thinker with focus on outcomes
- Professional image with the ability to form relationships across functions
- Ability to train more junior analysts regarding day-to-day activities, as necessary
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job
- Financial Services background
Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)
