Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Business Attorney with a strong background in Land Use, Corporate/Business Formation, and Commercial Real Estate to join our esteemed legal team in Huntington, WV. The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of relevant experience and possess a comprehensive understanding of the complexities involved in these practice areas. We are open to considering candidates for Partner-level positions, provided they bring a substantial book of business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload involving land use, corporate and business formation, and commercial real estate matters.
- Conduct thorough legal research, draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents, and represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and court proceedings.
- Provide strategic legal advice to clients on business formation, real estate transactions, zoning regulations, and related legal matters.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, leveraging your book of business to contribute to the growth of the firm.
- Meet the firm's annual billable hour requirement of 1600 hours.
- Stay informed on legal developments within your practice areas and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Admitted to practice law in the state of West Virginia.
- 6-10 years of experience in land use, corporate/business formation, and commercial real estate law.
- Strong negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume workload with attention to detail.
- A book of business is required for consideration at the Partner level.
