With their continued expansion, they're now seeking another Associate with 2-5 years of commercial litigation experience to join their team. Highlighted Duties:
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies and case preparation.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and mediation.
- Manage all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, conducting depositions, and preparing witnesses.
- Communicate with clients to provide legal advice, updates on case progress, and guidance on legal matters.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies and tactics.
- Attend court hearings and proceedings, advocating for clients' interests effectively.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
- Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
- Stay current with developments in relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
Highlighted Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Kentucky State Bar and eligibility to practice law in the state.
- 2-5 years of experience in commercial litigation
- Strong understanding of civil procedure, evidence, and litigation tactics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to conduct legal research efficiently and effectively using various resources.
- Experience managing discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests and taking depositions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact confidently with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
- Willingness to travel for court appearances and client meetings, as required.
