About the Job
As a Business Management, Associate in the Global Market Strategy & Trading Business Management Team, you will be responsible for the global strategy, roadmap, management and end-to-end execution of priority investment and regulatory initiatives across three distinct asset classes -Equities, Fixed Income & FX.
The Global Market Strategy & Trading Business Management Team sits within the Investment Sales & Trading. The team optimizes business performance by helping to drive key initiatives. We act as trusted advisors to the Business Head and Support Functions to achieve the following agendas: New product, strategy & business solutions; Support audit, regulatory and compliance deliverables; Trading desk & trade lifecycle processes & improvements; Day-to-day management of business; Controls management & implementation
Job responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the performance and profitability of global market strategy and trading operations
- Collaborate with senior management to define business objectives, identify growth opportunities, and set performance targets
- Oversee the execution of trading strategies, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Manage and optimize trading processes, systems, and infrastructure to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Lead cross-functional teams to execute strategic initiatives and projects, ensuring timely delivery and successful outcomes
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track progress and inform decision-making
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3 + years of Project Management experience, specifically in large-scale project planning and product management and financial markets experience
- Understanding of market trading conventions, settlement procedures, systems, and protocol in a wide variety of asset classes required
- Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, tenacious, and able to work with high degree of independence
- Detailed understanding of how trading systems work and an intuitive understanding of how a trader will use those systems
- Ability to reduce complex problems into component parts and find innovative solutions to a wide variety of compliance, legal, technological, and behavioral constraints.
- Ability to identify and question implied assumptions, and exploit faulty assumptions to improve processes and systems
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 1+ years experience in E-Trading
- 1+ years experience coding, specifically in Python, Alteryx
