Business Office - Assistant Controller
Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Controller to join our Business Office. The Assistant Controller will play a key role in overseeing the financial operations of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Manage general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and monitor budgets, providing insights and recommendations for financial management
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports in accordance with applicable guidelines
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Support the Controller in overseeing internal controls and ensuring compliance with GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Mentor and train accounting staff as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting role, preferably in public accounting or a similar industry
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Proficiency in financial report writing and analysis
- Experience with general ledger accounting
- Solid understanding of budgeting principles and financial management practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software

Pay: $85,000.00 - $92,000.00 Annually
