About the Role & Program:
Global Travel and Expense manages and implements complex travel processes while generating significant cost savings for the Company. Because we coordinate and handle individual and group travel arrangements for employee and non-employee travelers, we also have a focus on outstanding customer service!
The Global Travel and Expense (T&E) Intern will help provide analytical, operational and reporting support for the Enterprise globally. They will have a focus on assisting with vendor management as well as updating internal tools to ensure vendor data, documentation and reporting accuracy. They will also support the Studio Production Onboarding process, communication and travel account setup efforts. Additionally, they will create spend reporting based on specific cost savings projects and other travel related analysis.
Building relationships with 3rd party vendors, studio/productions, and Travel Management Companies will also be key in this role! The Intern will present analytical findings to leaders and executives, perform vendor audits, and assess benchmarking and travel industry trends to drive efficiencies within the booking and travel process.
This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Orlando, FL area from January 2025-June 2025.
What You Will Do:
As a Business Operations & Finance Intern, you will have the opportunity to:
Engage in vendor contracting efforts inclusive of building templates, reviewing proposals, evaluating cost savings/impact, record organization and internal distribution
Create spend reporting or project tracking dashboards applying business intelligence tools
Provide studio/production account setup and operational support
Build forms and surveys to help streamline various collections of information
Assess information in credit card reconciliation and payment applications to track, adjust, and process transactions to support the card program
Participate in vendor business reviews with key travel vendors and senior leadership
Attend local Orlando area travel industry related events
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Possess strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills, Attention to detail and accuracy are key in this role
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to partner with various organizations across the Company
Proficiency in working in a Windows environment; Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, with confidence in Excel formulas, v-lookups, pivot tables, and charts
Demonstrate a passion for excellence with respect to treating and caring for travelers, strong guest service skills
Demonstrate an ability to multi-task and prioritize work activities; always ready to handle a multitude of urgent matters and prioritize accordingly
Extremely well organized with proven ability to meet deadlines and exceed goals
Willingness to learn quickly and eager to contribute to the team’s success
Strong leaderships skills, takes initiative and has a desire for continuous improvement
Previous hospitality and/or travel industry experience (i.e., with airlines, hotels or ground transportation)
Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
Proven track record to be a self-starter, as well as work well in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using business intelligence reporting tools, such as Tableau and SQL
Highly developed skills in Excel (Power Pivots and Macros)
Knowledge of Request for Proposals (RFP) or Request for Information (RFI)
Experience interacting with vendors
Sophisticated email inbox management
Education:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year preferred, or a recent graduate within 6 months of graduation date
Major or previous coursework in in Business, Hospitality, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Project Management, Travel & Tourism, Legal or other related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program
Additional Information:
The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025-June 2025.
This internship is located in the Orlando, FL area .
Candidate must be fully available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.
While this internship is a primarily an on-site position, there may be some days where you work from home which will require a working, reliable internet connection, as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace.
Able to provide your own housing and reliable transportation for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, FL area
