About the Job
Under the supervision of the Sr. Director of Finance, this position is responsible for analyzing financial reports, assisting with budgets, forecasts and projections, partnering with section administrators, and handling ad hoc projects as assigned.
Responsibilities include:
Budgeting and Financial Management. Individual will assist in the oversight of all section operating budgets, including aggregation of data and creation of presentations for senior leadership. The business partner will assist in the annual budgeting process, partnering with section administrators to develop budgets. Individual will provide assistance and guidance to section administrators and staff on issues related to budgeting and financial analyses.
Month End Financial Close. Business partner will calculate, allocate and reconcile funds flow from both Boston University and Boston Medical Center. Individual will be responsible for distributing monthly financial dashboards to all clinical departments. Individual will adhere to month end close timeline, completing assigned monthly recurring journals (allocation of standard entries across all sections within Department of Medicine).
Various Projects / Ad Hoc projects. Business partner will be responsible for producing monthly senior management reporting package as well as ad hoc financial analysis schedules and presentations as needed. The individual will support the Sr. Director and Asst. Director of Finance on inquiries from all parties (internal Dept. of Medicine, BU, BMC). The individual recommends and implements process improvements to ensure that financial reporting addresses the needs of DOM end users. the individual will assist in establishing and maintaining procedures and manuals
