Select Bankcard is a payments technology provider that is based in Utah County. Select Bankcard is looking for someone ambitious to make a meaningful impact on the Company's success, helping to build our Business Development department as a Business Relationship Manager.WHAT WE DO
To put it simply, Select Bankcard helps businesses process payments such as credit cards, debit cards, ACH, gift cards, etc. From start to finish, we do everything to facilitate our merchant’s payment processing capabilities from processing their applications, setting up their account, supplying them with equipment to process transactions, performing account changes, troubleshooting product issues, maintaining risk, handling disputes, etc. We continually aim to improve and broaden the services we provide in the payments space so that we can directly control the quality of the payment experience offered to our merchants.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The Business Relationship Manager position offers an annual salary of $60,000 to $65,000 plus commissions depending on experience. The Business Relationship Manager will be focused on helping our sales partners, especially our FI partners (banks and credit unions), increase the revenue generated by our program. You will help the partners develop the internal sales capabilities needed for them to succeed, and consult with them on structuring payments within their client offering. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, handling a variety of responsibilities, and building and maintaining strong and effective relationships with all partners. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Developing trusted relationships with partners and their client leads.
- Establishing short-term and long-term goals with partners and ensuring appropriate resources are allocated to meet those goals internally and externally. Working with partners and their clients to present product and service offerings in a competitive and compelling manner to drive profitability for both Select Bankcard and the FI partner.
- Coordinating all commercial efforts, including sales and marketing efforts, with new and existing partners.
- Selling payment products and services directly to the client leads that are being pursued by partners, often managing the entire sales lifecycle, from warm lead to close.
- Serving as a key liaison and an escalation resource between these partners and Select Bankcard.
- Functioning as the subject matter expert on products, services, and merchant service processing related to card brand rules and services.
- Communicating relevant information and recommendations to our executive team.
- Communicating relevant information and recommendations to the executive teams of our partners.
- Creating and maintaining documentation of leads, referrals, sales, processes and procedures related to role.
WORK SCHEDULE AND ENVIRONMENT
- Typical work schedule is 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM MT Monday through Friday with an hour lunch, but after-hours contact may be required depending on time zone differences and business needs.
- More flexibility with your work schedule after training and a few months with the company.
- Much of the work is done in office (taking calls, composing emails, creating documents, reports, and spreadsheets, etc.), but some travel is required to present to partners and their clients in person.
YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF:
- Three years of relevant work experience
- Two years of business relationship and management experience preferred
- Experience working with merchant services is a plus
- Experience working with financial institutions is a plus
- Experience working on projects with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solving/analysis
- Collaboration skills
- Excel expertise
