General Description:
The role of a Reporting Analyst is to review current reporting and determine ways to streamline and design reporting solutions and deliver the day to day technical reporting to support Operational Risk and Compliance. The role is part of the Strategic Project Office, supporting multiple groups and managing multiple company-wide initiatives.
In this role you will be supporting Operational Risk and Compliance and the reporting needs that are a result of the Strategic Projects Office’s recommendations and solutions that will solve stakeholder’s business challenges. You will have the opportunity to engage with internal stakeholders from across various departments within TEKsystems.
This role requires an individual to understand the reporting needs of different teams, multi-task, work under pressure and make complex reporting more efficient and easier to use.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and provide reporting to support business decision making
• Field questions and troubleshoot reporting issues with existing reports
• Ability to customize and automate reporting to handle specific requirements
• Provide reporting analysis for 13 different teams within Operational Risk and Compliance; having a basic understanding of all groups to support their business needs
• Provide proactive support for Business Process Analysts by building out reporting solutions for open projects
• Utilize knowledge of business processes to analyze data to provide recommendations to leadership on prioritization, level of effort, and recommended reporting system to improve the business function
• Act as liaison between IS and the business
• Proficient user of the reporting and dashboard programs to uncover underlying problems and maximize efficiency improvements
• Other areas as assigned or determined
Qualifications
Required Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree or similar further education in Computer Science or Information Systems
• Advanced experience with the Microsoft Office tools – Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
Requisite Abilities and/or Skills:
• 1-2 years practical business experience in operations and utilizing programming languages; Visual Basic and/or Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) preferred
• Experience and/or knowledge of SQL and Tableau
• Strong organizational skills
• Adaptable and able to handle multiple tasks concurrently; able to manage time and excel in a deadline-oriented environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
• Ability to build reporting and create efficiencies as needed
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to diagnose problems and propose solutions with minimal guidance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively work in a team-oriented environment that is open, honest, humble, competitive
• Successful track record of providing quality customer service
