SUMMARY:
The Business and Sales Development Representative reports to the Site Manager and is responsible for identifying and pursuing new partnership opportunities and building relationships with potential and current customers to increase revenue and the controlled expansion of the company’s customer base. Applicants must have 3-5 years directly related experience in contract manufacturing sales. NPI and Contract Manufacturing in the medical device industry a plus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops customer relations including but not limited to sales leads, product and market research, cold calls, lead development, lead qualification and customer service.
- Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
- Works collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders on cost reduction initiatives.
- Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor.
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
- Work closely with diverse groups of people, including company employees at all levels, customers, vendors, suppliers, and other outside professionals with whom the company deals with on a regular basis.
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
- Works closely with rh USA’s management team; attends weekly management meetings.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A four-year degree in Business or Engineering and 3-5 years directly related experience is required. NPI and Contract Manufacturing in the medical device industry is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Moderate noise level associated with open office work environment.
