Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources – 45%
+ Manage Recruitments, hiring, terminations for faculty and staff
+ Liaison with HRSS
+ Manage HR processes including but not limited to:

+ Shadowing/observerships
+ Review minimum qualifications of candidates
+ Coordinate interviews
+ Work with DFA on Assistant Professor and above hires
+ On-Boarding for all new hires (faculty and staff)
+ Badging
+ EPIC training
+ NEO-CUSOM and Department
+ Skillsoft
+ Credentialing-all locations and annual credentialing calendar
+ Coordinate PRIMS reviews and FIMS Updates
+ Time off/Collections
+ License and Credentialing Management (tracker to notify proper partners of renewal)
Finance 30%
+ Assist in the implementation of procurement procedures including reconciliation of office expenses and travel expenses; manage reimbursements for employees.
+ Execute all aspects of fulfilling honoraria, sponsorships, and donations.
+ Assist in budget reconciliation and monitoring including pulling financial reports.
+ Independently determines appropriate accounts for allocation of expenses and ensures financial transactions are appropriate and comply with all relevant university regulations and policies.
+ Budget maintenance and follow-up of financial transactions related to procurement and program expenses.
+ Tracking faculty travel to maintain compliance with departmental policy
+ Managing the departmental personnel financial trackers
+ PET's
+ Funding distributions
+ Social Media and Website Coordination – 10%
+ Maintain social media presence quarterly including website
Events 5%
+ Approximately 2-4 larger events per year (~50 guests) which may require ordering catering, assisting with room reservation and setup; greeting and registering guests.
+ Where necessary, process official function forms and alcohol approval forms.
+ Managing event budgets

Minimum Qualifications:
+ A bachelor's degree in public administration, public policy, business, higher education administration, social sciences, behavioral sciences or a directly related field from an accredited institution and 2 years of professional level experience either in human resources or administration.

Preferred Qualifications:
+ 2 years of human resources experience, Microsoft Suite advance level experience, Smartsheet, HCM and Concur Travel system experience

The University of Colorado Department of Neurosurgery is looking for a creative, innovative team player. This is a full-time University Staff position located at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus. This individual will provide critical office and administrative support for the department. The position exercises initiative to achieve organizational goals and objectives, maintains confidentiality, and establishes and maintains positive working relationships. This position will oversee the functionality of daily business tasks and requires considerable organization, focus, analytical, and technical skills. The position is responsible for budgetary tracking, human resource processes and reporting, and assisting in troubleshooting complications as they arise. In addition, this position requires a working knowledge of all current University policies that are relevant to business services which may include, but not be limited to procurement, human resources, budget, events, and travel. Community Relations – 15%
– this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.
Neurosurgery at CU is a dynamic, rapidly growing educational enterprise, and we are one of the largest Departments of Neurosurgery in the western United States.
