POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Business System Analyst will serve as a bridge to function in the space between our business partners and our technology teams or SaaS providers. This role will require functional knowledge of how our systems are used by our business partners, and the underlying business goals/processes, along with the technical ability to configure systems to accomplish those goals. This role will act as a primary contact for any questions related to how the system works from both a business and technical perspective. As a member of the product management team, this role will assist with documenting requirements, creating and maintaining technical diagrams and documents, creating training materials, as well as testing the integrity of the system and investigating issues reported by users.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Develop intimate knowledge of several core applications, including the capabilities used by our business partners, and the ones that are available but not used.
* Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems to identify opportunities to meet user needs through the enhancement of system efficiencies or processes.
* Develop and execute test plans to ensure systems are operating effectively and support business goals.
* Conduct end user testing on developed features to ensure functionality meets acceptance criteria.
* Develop supporting documentation outlining requirements, business flows, security protocols/risks, and system design.
* Research and resolve incidents and support tickets submitted by end users. Determine which incidents are bugs, and which require enhancement requests.
* Provide training and support to end-users.
* Perform technical tasks inside of our applications (configuration, querying, integrations, etc)
* Assist in the documentation and communication of opportunities to improve business processes by further utilizing our applications.
* Stay current with the product releases from our systems and help communicate/prioritize the roll-out of new features.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
* Three plus years of relevant work experience with experience in a systems analyst role preferred.
* Experience with strictly regulated fields is preferred (e.g. HIPAA, FERPA, PCI, etc).
