Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton’s First Responder Solution’s team in Phoenix, Arizona. The ideal candidate will help transform the future of public safety technology. Be a valued member of a professional software development team building and maintaining a suite of software products to help first responders improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
Requirement Gathering:
- Review reference documentation such as Appendices and CONOP’s
- Analyze business processes and workflows
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specification
Documentation:
- Create detailed documentation of requirements, processes, and system functionality
- Maintain clarity and consistency in documentation
- Review and update Product documentation as modifications are added
- Follow the processes put in place by the team
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, pain points, and desired outcomes
- Bridge communication between business stakeholders and the technical team
Communication:
- Work closely with development, design, and business teams to ensure that everyone is on the same page, helping to avoid misunderstandings and fostering a cohesive working environment
- Present complex information in a clear and concise manner, ensuring that both technical and non-technical audiences can understand and act on it
- Be open to receiving and providing constructive feedback, ensuring continuous improvement and fostering a culture of collaboration
Solution Design:
- Collaborate with technical teams to design solutions that meet business needs
- Ensure that solutions are feasible and aligned with business priorities
- Help validate that the developed solution meets business needs
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years relevant experience, master’s degree with 3+ years relevant experience or high school diploma/GED with 9+ years relevant experience
- Full onsite role at the customer site in Phoenix, AZ
- US Citizenship required or Green Card holder
