Role Overview
- This Business System Analyst role is a key member within the Federal IT Team. This individual will work in the Order Management (OM) module of Oracle e-business suite (EBS).
- Functionally you will be responsible for multiple aspects of the Order to Deliver to Cash (OTDTC) business lifecycle.
- Working under the guidance of the Product Owner, you will collaborate with an offshore development team, technical leads and other BSAs, candidate will be responsible for soliciting and understanding requirements, authoring functional designs and initiating technical designs for Oracle EBS.
- This individual would be a professional staff member, who works well in a team environment, is knowledgeable about the core functions of the company, easily accessible to all levels of staff and management and is customer focused.
- This person will operate as a liaison between technical personnel and end-users. On an ongoing basis, analyzes, develops, and documents business requirements and translates those requirements into system solutions to solve business issues or needs.
- Provide coaching and training to end users in the use of the developed solution to enhance business decision-making capability.
- Responsibilities
- Elicit, validate and document business requirements
- Understand and be able to document and demonstrate financial flows while understanding the accounting and Tax treatment for each of them
- Apply experience and knowledge to design system solution to match these requirements
- Identify points of inefficiency and suggest process improvement
- Maintain positive relationship with business users
- Participate in sprint planning and daily standups for the OM stream
Other duties as assigned - As a federal contractor, Dell expects its employees to understand and apply commonly known data assurance practices and possess a working knowledge of applicable industry controls such as NIST 800-53 and 800-171.
Requirements - Undergraduate degree and 6-8 years' experience in financial system design, automation and testing
- Comfortable with fast-paced environment and rapidly changing priorities
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with emphasis in solving problems independently
- Must possess ability to diagnose reported problems and identify and resolve root cause
- Ability to work effectively with peers, management and internal and external business partners
- Required technical experience should include Oracle EBS (OM), Siebel CRM, Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- Understanding and experience with Oracle AIM methodology
