Overview
The Business Systems Analyst - Order Management plays a crucial role in the manufacturing and supply chain management (SCM) department, responsible for optimizing and maintaining efficient order management systems. This role involves understanding business requirements, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing technical solutions to enhance order processing and fulfillment. The Business Systems Analyst serves as a liaison between the business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure that the order management systems align with the company’s operational objectives and contribute to a seamless supply chain process.
Key responsibilities
Analyze business processes and workflows related to order management and SCM
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for system enhancements
Identify and propose solutions to streamline order management processes and improve system functionalities
Conduct feasibility studies and impact analyses for system changes and enhancements
Participate in system configuration, customization, and testing activities
Provide support and troubleshooting for order management systems and related applications
Conduct user training and create documentation for new system features and processes
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of order management systems with other business applications
Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements
Assist in the implementation of new technologies and tools to enhance order management capabilities
Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance policies and best practices
Participate in project planning and execution for system upgrades and implementations
Assist in establishing KPIs and performance metrics for order management systems
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in order management and SCM
Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field
Proven experience as a business systems analyst, preferably in a manufacturing or SCM environment
Strong understanding of order management processes and systems, including ERP and CRM platforms
Proficiency in analyzing and documenting complex business processes and system requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement and requirement gathering
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions with a focus on process optimization
Experience in system configuration, testing, and user training for enterprise applications
Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
Understanding of data governance, data integrity, and system security principles
Capability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in order management and SCM
Proactive approach to staying updated on technological advancements and their potential impact on order management processes
Certifications in business analysis or project management is a plus
