Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develops thorough knowledge of assigned business area
- Works with business area to fully understand business objective and business requirements
- Partners with business and with developers in designing functionality based on stated business requirements and system capabilities
- Prepares detailed business and technical specifications from which programs will be written
- Works with developers and business partners in refining and clarifying requirements
- Provides input to project management plans
- Works with software vendors to provide timely support to assigned business areas
- Maintains effective levels of communication with team members, management, business areas and vendors
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in CIS/MIS/CE or equivalent experience/training
- 6+ years experience in an IT organization
- 4+ years of Business Analyst experience
- Demonstrated experience preparing programming specifications
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented demonstrating initiative, follow-through, sound business judgment
- Demonstrated ability to present information, project updates and interacting with various target audiences
- Agile experience a plus
- Payroll knowledge a plus
