Business Systems Consultant
Location: Trenton, NJ
Duration: 6 months (Extension Possible)
Job responsibilities:
Full-time professional Information Technology professional with prior Lead Business Analysis experience involved in a DataWarehouse migration and rollout
Full-time professional Information Technology Project Development work experience and/or Function/Business Process Analysis work experience.
Job responsibilities and duties
• Work with staff, and technical resources to define requirements for data warehouse within DOH
• Assist with project estimation, planning and tracking of development and implementation tasks. Anticipate dependencies and delays and brings them to the management.
• Review and document business requirements and provide required business artifacts.
• Perform other support or development tasks as needs or opportunities arise.
Some responsibilities for this project will be:
1)Developing the infrastructure to link data from birth certificate, death certificate and hospital discharge datasets in a timely basis as soon as data are reported (daily, weekly) to the Department- Creating a Data Warehouse
2)Working collaboratively with hospital representatives to identify and define key maternal healthcare indicators and metrics to be monitored for quality improvement purposes.
3)Real-time data linkage of electronic birth certificate, death certificate and hospital discharge datasets will be used to produce reports of data quality to identify issues with missing data, inconsistencies between datasets preventing team from matching all the observations across data sources and disseminate these reports back to hospitals or reporting source for ongoing data quality improvement
4)Sharing near real-time data processing and dissemination of findings on key maternal healthcare indicators to subscribed birthing hospitals for use for in internal perinatal quality improvement activities
