Business Training Coordinator - ( STA014819 ) Business Training Coordinator Organization: H0053 Small Business Development CtrDescriptionPlans and delivers seminars, conferences and workshops to UH SBDC small business clients. Manages special projects working closely with subcenter directors, corporate sponsors, trade and professional organizations, industry and community groups.
EEO/AA QualificationsBachelors and 3 years experience Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience. May be eligible for Alternative Workplace Arrangements.
Additional Job Posting Information: This position is with the University of Houston's Small Business Development Center (SBDC), an off campus program of the UH Bauer College and provides business advising and training assistance to entrepreneurs and small business owners. The ideal candidate for the position will preferably be bilingual (English/Spanish); This position involves working with English and Spanish speaking trainers and class participants, as well as developing training materials in English and Spanish.

The desired candidate will have knowledge of Photoshop, PowerPoint, Canva and possesses excellent written and oral communication skills. The SBDC program is funded through a cooperative agreement with the U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the State of Texas. The continuation of all SBDC positions are contingent on the continuation of funding from both the SBA and the State of Texas at current levels.
