We are seeking an experienced FP&A Manager in our St. Paul office, to support the financial and business planning activities through hands on forecasting, budgeting, analysis, data management, performance reporting, and financial modeling.

Responsibilities:Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial leadership to the business unit, overseeing all aspects of financial management, accounting, and reporting. Act as a key advisor to the business unit management team and Vice Presidents of the organization.
- Financial Planning: Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for the business unit. Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses. Ensure accuracy and completeness in all financial plans. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support decision-making within the division.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial and operational data. Suggest, develop, and maintain business KPI’s, performance metrics, and trend analysis on business results. Develop actionable recommendations to improve financial performance. Collect and evaluate financial data to provide meaningful insights about the business.
- Strategic Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support strategic initiatives. Assist in evaluating the financial impact of various business strategies and investments.
- Project Accounting: Work closely with project managers to develop and monitor project budgets. Track and analyze project costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints. Conduct regular financial reviews and provide insightful analysis to support decision-making. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
- Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management and stakeholders. Develop and maintain regular financial reporting packages. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial information. Support the company’s month end close process with financial & operational reporting and analysis. Track business performance against operating plans and prepare monthly, quarterly and year-to-date variance analysis for management and business unit leaders.
- Forecasting: Manage the monthly forecast process and support the annual budgeting process. Partner with other finance professionals and cross-functional teams to understand key trends, variance drivers, and risks and opportunities. Continuously monitor financial performance against forecasts. Identify risks and opportunities. Modify forecasts and plans as necessary based on changing market conditions and business needs.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and reporting tools. Implement improvements to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Preferred Education / Experience:
- Master’s in Business Administration preferred but not required; minimum bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- 7+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related area; or
- A combination of education and experience equivalent to above
- Must hold or be eligible for a U.S. Government security clearance.
Preferred Knowledge / Ability:
- Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture
- Government accounting experience a plus, specifically cost accounting, rate development or audit experience as a prime contractor or major subcontractor under DCAA/DCMA oversight
- Excellent Excel and financial modeling skills
- Solid understanding of financial statement analysis, corporate finance, and accounting concepts
- Experience developing financial reports and metrics
- Ability to quickly learn ERP systems
- Problem solving skills to identify problems, gather and analyze information skillfully to resolve problems in a timely manner
- Strong communication skills, with ability to effectively interact and communicate, both oral and written
- Self-motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process
- Experience using data visualization tools a plus
