JOB DESCRIPTION
The Buyer – Direct and Indirect Materials and Services is responsible for the procurement process of indirect product, materials, and services in support of Stevanato Group as assigned, achieving expected requirements at the most cost-effective price while meeting delivery timeline service levels, driving relevant process improvement with suppliers to increase efficiency, in compliance with applicable standards and Stevanato Group policies and procedures.
5+ years of experience in a procurement role supporting both direct and indirect materials (BOM), products, supplies and service purchasing is required. Experience in manufacturing and/or a cGMP environment with plastics and resins is preferred.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. PROCUREMENT PLAN EXECUTION
• Participates in the procurement plan and operative programs implementation for the assigned categories of product and service with the aim of achieving the relevant targets in accordance with the leader above and in alignment with procurement strategy.
2. PROCUREMENT PROCESS MANAGEMENT
• Directly conducts the procurement processes and negotiations management within the established spending limits and the assigned categories of products and services, accordingly to the leader above, to achieve profitability as well as efficient and sustainable partnerships, in accordance with relevant standards and procedures.
• Leads the purchase orders management progression for relevant product and service categories, to achieve high level of services in terms of volumes, delivery date, quality, at the lowest total cost, in alignment with company's procurement guidelines and policies.
• Participates, working alongside the functions involved such as Quality Team R&D Team, Operations Team etc., for the preparation of product specifications and requirements of the relevant goods and service to be purchased, as regard its part of competence.
• Conducts requests for quotation for the product and service categories assigned, analyzing the offers proposed by the relevant suppliers, evaluates, and selects best offering alongside the function involved, in accordance with the leader above and within the established spending limits.
• Monitors the procurement process, highlights critical issues, and proposes to the leader above improvement area and corrective actions in terms of volumes, priorities, and time delivery.
3. SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT
• Draws up and negotiates the relevant sourcing agreements within the established spending limits, alongside the relevant function involved and third parties, when necessary, to build and maintain effective and profitable partnership, in alignment with the guidelines, procedures and in accordance with the leader above.
• Monitors the supplier processes for service and reliability, working alongside Quality team, to achieve the targets and needs, in accordance with the guidelines, corporate policies and procedures.
• Manages deviations and disputes with the supplier, for what is within its competence and work alongside key functional teams to solve issues and carry out administrative duties.
• Conducts the supplier scouting process, for the approved type of suppliers, proposing new supply relationships working alongside the relevant functions involved and submits the proposal to the leader above for the approval process.
• Participates in the supplier qualification process, working alongside Quality, identifying, and gathering the relevant qualification and certification parameters and necessary documentation from suppliers.
4. MONITORING AND REPORTING
• Evaluates markets trends and benchmarks, KPI's, monitors the activities progressions, proposing the execution of improvements and corrective actions to the leader above, to ensure the KPI achievement in terms of the annual budget, strategy, and plans.
5. BUDGET MANAGEMENT
• Provides the leader above with the budget proposal and manages properly the budget assigned.
6. GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURES
• Participates actively and effectively in defining and updating the procedures and guidelines, ensuring the implementation and high-level maintenance of applicable standards as evidence by safety result.
7. PROJECT MANAGEMENT
• Deals with the projects assigned, effectively supports the SG4D approach, during the distinct phases and monitors the execution across the relevant area according with the project plan and program.
8. RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
• Interacts regularly and effectively communicates with the key internal leaders and team as well as relevant stakeholders aimed at building level of awareness on procurement process and targets.
• Builds effective and sustainable partnerships leading the relationship with internal and external stakeholders and influencers fostering the Stevanato Group competitive advantages
OTHER REQUIREMENTS OF JOB
• PPE such as Safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, and gowning required in designated areas.
• Tasks may include standing, walking, bending, and sitting.

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or economics
• Knowledge of procurement processes, features techniques and methodologies

• Knowledge of product and production processes, features techniques and methodologies
• Project management techniques, methodologies, tools knowledge
• Industry and sector understanding and knowledge of key consumers and segments
• Continuous improvement: techniques, methodologies, tools, and processes
• Data analysis and reporting: methodologies, techniques, tools, and applications
• ERP system, tools, and application for the relevant processes
• Knowledge of applicable standards such as ISO, cGMP, FDA CFRs, and guidelines
